What does the term mean," Beauty is skin deep?"?

It`s `Beauty is only skin deep`. It means that there is more to being attractive than appearance.

What does the term mean," Beauty is skin deep?"?
What you see, is only the 'depth' of skin. Which is thin.

There's "more to a book, than it's cover", both good and bad (really).

Because there's often more, that's beneath the surface about people -- and it's what makes them beautiful.
Reply:It means that it's superficial, shallow
Reply:Beauty comes from within... The skin is only so thick, its what's on the inside that counts.
Reply:nobody should give a **** if you are ugly or not a book shouldn't be judge by its cover but by it's contents
