Have you ever got this deep under the skin of a simple minded baffoon.?

Hello The real Ed-Mike ,

You have received a message from another user!

From: Proud Conservative

Subject: Greetings from Comrade

Message: I will find you.

I will suspend you....again

Have you ever got this deep under the skin of a simple minded baffoon.?
Why "suspend"? Why not calmly and intelligently explain his point of view? There is nothing wrong with opposition. And, if someone has good points to make, he should make them, and try to convince his "opposition" of the correctness of his beliefs.

While I truly believe that my ideas and hopes and dreams for this country are "correct", I am open to listening to any well-thought out idea from anyone, and I'm sure you are, too. When people would rather play the "suspend" game, it makes me think they either have nothing to say that makes sense, or that they do not really believe what they are saying.

We needn't resort to name-calling, jabs, the "report abuse" button, nasty comments and emails, etc. The best way that one can fight his/her fight is to give the Liberal or the Conservative something that they can contemplate and, perhaps, agree on----or, at the very least concede a "you've got a point there."

I've read many conservative answers that I've agreed with, and have usually contacted the writer to say that, while I usually disagree, I found their treatment of that particular issue intriguing or edifying.

This (YA) is not a game; and while it may be fun, it is meant to be a place where ideas can be exchanged in a non-threatening atmosphere. To receive messages like the one you have mentioned above (or the "comments" I receive on my blogs....)just makes one wonder if the person writing them has anything but hot air between their ears.
Reply:Apparently he has already found you! That kind of explains why he blocked me for no apparent reason, on the other hand, he did not block you, so maybe it doesn't make any sense after all!
Reply:Wow! what a psycho that stalker must be!

Some people have very thin skins. They ought to be in therapy.
Reply:which one is the bafoon, the one antagonizing, or the one reacting to the antagonizing?
Reply:Yes usually they call another user out in a question Sad isn't it
Reply:How silly is this!!! Sounds like he needs a tranquilizer!!
Reply:Many times. These conservative trolls and their anger management issues make me laugh. %26lt;grin%26gt;

Why do we white folks like to pretend that pale skin is sexy when deep down we all hate it. come on lets lay?

it out in the open. how many times have you taken your shirt off and looked at your pale torso in disgust? i know i have. how many times have you looked at your pale legs in horror ? i know i have. we all know that the perfect skin for us will be olive, or maybe a little tanned, so why do we like to pretend that we love being pale ? lets air out our dirty laundry folks because only with this kind of dialogue can we find peace and acceptance within ourselves.

Why do we white folks like to pretend that pale skin is sexy when deep down we all hate it. come on lets lay?
olive eh? and i'll bet you'd look just dandy skewered on a toothpick as well. i rather like how i look and since the japanese find it so attractive it can't be all bad. not to mention if i were any darker i couldn't play connect the dots on my arms when i'm bored, ppssstt come 'ere, from what i'm told you can actually get 666 across my back if you do it just right
Reply:haha! i'm very pale and feel the same way.

By the way, nice avatar name, although God might resent it ;)

Reply:I'm not white but if I were I would be happy with the way I looked, and not try to look like someone else. That orange skin looks disgusting, and I don't know who told people it was sexy. Plus I would want to look 25 when I'm 25 and not 40.
Reply:I don't think anyone would argue that pale skin is sexy!! The victorians thought pale was 'interesting' but that was all.

You don't speak for me by the way so stop making sweeping statements as if you speak for every white person alive.
Reply:I don't think ppl should be ashamed of their skin color no matter what the complexion is. All this tanning (this one lady who works in my building tans so deeply her skin looks like leather) %26amp; skin bleaching. seems to be an indicator that something went wrong.
Reply:I don't hate my pale skin at all. I avoid the sun as I have had family members with skin cancer. I think to hate your looks is self destructive. I am happy with myself both inside and out.
Reply:i don't buy clothes to not wear them, so who cares if i'm pale. all my plainly visible skin is in the sun and therefore tanned.
Reply:I feel sorry for anyone who does not love the skin they are in. I love my pale skin! Keeps me looking younger longer..gotta love that! ; )
Reply:Lol I'm very very tanned, its all natural too, bu then again, I'm not all White
Reply:I'm not white, but I think pale skin is beautiful. I don't see why anyone would want to tan, because unnatural tans are especially ugly.
Reply:i dont think any of us like to pretend to be pale. i have no ****** clue what ur talking about. why do you think theres a tanning salon on every corner? duhhh.

Do women get wrinkles because their skin is not deep enough to hold their beauty?

no. they get it from not washing their face. and not eating right and stuff like that.

I have deep set of dark brown eyes dark brown hair and light brown skin.?

i have dark brown hair deep set of dark brown eyes and light brown skin. i do have under eye what colour of eyeliner and lipstick can i wear so my colour looks tanish and plz dont say wear foundation cuz i hate wearing that stuff on my skin like a mask. i dont have pimples on my face i jus have bit of under eye. i was wondering wearing eyeliner at the bottom will make my undereye stand out or no. plz tell me wt colour of eyeliner and lipstick should i wear. plz help me

I have deep set of dark brown eyes dark brown hair and light brown skin.?
wearing eyeliner on the underside of your eye will make you eye stand more on the bottom. But you can wear eyeliner on the top to make it look better. While i know you said you don't like foundation you may want to look for a liquid that is not cakey. then just wear it under your eyes to brighten them and blend it that way you don't have to wear it on your entire face. as for lipstick where a pink or a red or just gloss
Reply:putting black eyeliner under your eye will make your eyes look smaller if you put black on the top and line the bottom with white, it should make your eyes look bigger, i have dark hair and dark eyes as well, i notice colors like green and purple really make me stand out. so maybe if you line your eyes with one of those colors it should turn out good :) good luck!
Reply:First of all, you should never wear eyeliner on the lower lid- it just closes your eye in. If you don't like foundation that is because you are used to the greasy, cakey mask most people wear. Try using a mineral foundation applied lightly. Not only will your skin look more even, it will glow, AND it can provide sun protection (depending on the brand). Use a light dust of blush on your cheeks and on the curve of your eye to make your eyes pop very naturally. Use a rosy, mauve color- not too pink, no coral or peach. Use a similar color for your lips.
Reply:If you don't need foundation don't us it! if you do ever need to use it get a stick foundation its light and you don't have to put it all over your face like a mask. for eye liner it really depends on your eye shape. but if your trying to make your eyes pop i would suggest putting eyeliner on top and on bottom but be careful not to over do the eyeliner on the bottom, to much can give the effect that your tiered. i would suggest going with gray or brown for a more natural look. also try using liquid eye liner it stays on longer and it brings out your eyes more. Any liquid eyeliner works grate but some waterproof ones tend to crack and pill off. don't forget about mascara! apply to top and bottom lashes. (great lash blackest black mascara any drug store.) for lip stick MAC! they have good natural colors and they are more then happy to help you fined your color. I wouldn't get a dark lip color or anything to light also apply lip liner to the lips and shade in the whole lip before applying lip stick this makes it last longer.

Hope i helped! goodluck!

Are food in deep color will cause your skin color turn deep oso?

Hi,

Since I haven't seen any people walking around who are purple -- from eating excessive purple cabbage, etc., -- I really doubt this!

Skin color has to do with melanin, a skin protective device mostly designed for the effects of the sun. It is genetic, which is why those originating close to the equator are more likely to have more melanin and be thus darker.

And also, while I've seen people green with envy, they don't necessarily have green eyes or skin. So eat as many peas as you want.

Sorry, no chance of changing skin color via food intake.

Are food in deep color will cause your skin color turn deep oso?
no.i dont think that will happen
Reply:No, no necessasarily. The one food that do alter your skin tone would be carrots. You have to eat a lot of them though. Many younger kids look "orange" because carrots are their favorite food. It does not harm you just looks strange.
Reply:I have heard like when babies eat alot of orange foods carrots yams etc they can have orange skin also "pink flamingos are only pink from the foods they eat shrimp!
Reply:don't believe in such nonsense.

Is there super effective way to remove splinters of glass deep below skin in your hand?

A very brittle and thin stemware imploded into my hand while washing it. Nothing hurt until mths later, then my hand became glossy as if it where petrified then shedding neverending splinters and shinny crystle shedding. IN MISERY, HELP

Is there super effective way to remove splinters of glass deep below skin in your hand?
I'll be honest with you and tell you that this really is a job for a medical specialist who will examine your injuries very carefully before doing anything major, to determine the extent of the problem. Do NOT try fixing this yourself. You will not be able to recover all the pieces of glass and will only inflict a lot of pain on yourself if you try. Already it sounds like you are showing the symptoms of infection and this can get worse -- especially if you try to remove any glass without following good sterile procedures. The other danger is that these fine splinters can work their way deeper and cause damage to important nerves (including nerves for feeling and movement) and even blood vessels. If you don't have medical insurance then get yourself to a hospital where such an emergency as this can be treated.

Please...

PS: If there is some reason why you cannot get to a doctor, then please email me by clicking on my avatar and going to my profile, and I will pass on some advice of what you can do to try and at least minimize the problem and remove some of the glass. And set up your personal profile to enable an email reply, okay? I'll be online for a while so write me soon if you're in a jam.
Reply:I wish I could help you, and I am a self help person, but this really sounds like one for the Dr.

burgundy

Reply:Sunburst would be nice....and your stylist could tone it down if it is too much.
Reply:I say stick to golden and light brown shades, stay away from reds and auburns, it sound to me your skin is more like J.Lo's, what color does she wear, I bet you will never see her hair red, trust me you'll look better in golden shades. The more thing you said that your hair is off black, so I recomend using Feria Hi-Lift Browns by L'oreal, that way you won't need to bleach your hair first.

What laser color and wattage will kill bacteria deep in skin?
Since no answers I'll relate that back in the early 1980's there were some studies indicating that pure green spectral light killed some types of cancer cells.
Reply:I seriously hope you are not thinking about doing this....you actually need the bacteria on your skin.

Try looking on pubmed (search for it on google cos i cant remember the address!).

How to avoid toe nail from poking deep into skin?

You have to "lift" the corner of the toenail out from the nail bed. You can use the toenail clipper tool to do this...but you have to use the flat file part of the toenail clipper to do this..

It's best if you do it after you get out of the shower, this way, the nailbed is soft...

Gently lift the corner of the toenail out of the skin..keep in mind it may be a little uncomfortable.

Does Clearasil Deep Cleanse Skin Clearing Wash Work?

Hi, i went to a doctor and she said that i have a very very very mild cause of acne... So she's perscribed something for me and alongside that i brought The Clearasil...

Have you ever tried this, how long did you take it and HAS it worked for you? I could really do with some help- thanks : )

Does Clearasil Deep Cleanse Skin Clearing Wash Work?
i've used clearsil products b4 but it's reli harsh on my skin most probably because i have sensitive skin. if in doubt don't use it because it might make it worse!
Reply:Not for me, I use garnier face wash
Reply:Ihave mild acne but none of the over the counter stuff works. NONE!
Reply:my 15 year old son tried it and it didn't work one bit,so i wouldn't bother.
Reply:Nope..it just gave me red spots on my face. none of the over the counter stuff works. If I just wash my face with regular soap twice to three times a day and don't touch my face...then i try not to use any medication cleansers.

Good Luck
Reply:Hey there not for me nither i use freederm gel and face wash as i have the same problem as you but worse i have severe acne and this treatment works i used it for three days and did you know it took about 30 spots off my face and my face is almost clear it is an affective treatment that is advanced to work right in to the pores and give you clearer skin in just three days try it i promise it will work! x x x x xx
Reply:clearasil is rubbish, believe me I've tried loads of treatments. I used to have very bad acne and the only thing that worked is called Quinoderm. Its available at the chemist and is not pricey. You dont need to use much (even though I did, because I wanted the spots to go instantly).

Good luck.
Reply:yes

i have tried it and if you do what the instruction say your skin willbe very clear

I have deep brown skin, dark brown hair, and light brown eyes, I need ideas on hair color and makeup.?

I want to dye my hair, but what color? I going to start wearing makeup, but i don't know what colors. My features are kinda like Naomi Cambell, but light eyes.

I have deep brown skin, dark brown hair, and light brown eyes, I need ideas on hair color and makeup.?
I would say go for some golden tones, because they tend to look very good on people with a darker complexion.

Also, some deeper pinks or reds may look good, but i'm not really sure...

i would actually have to see your skin color and eye color to be able to really know.

And for your hair, in my opinion opt for highlights (or lowlights if you wanted to) instead of a complete dye job.

You can go for a reddish brown highlight, or just a lighter brown.

Well, i hope it all works out for you.

Good Luck :D
Reply:Well as far as hair color you could do brown but with warm tones like gold. For makeup you can do alot. Purple hues would look good as well as pinks and golds. Basically earthy warm hues. But the best way is to just experiment. Pick colors you think you'd like and try them out. Also try covergirl.com they offer a quiz you can take.

Prednisolone controls Lupus... but side effects destroying her skin elasticity causing deep depression. SOS!?

My friend has Arthritis + Lupus, LES. She takes Prednisolone, which causes side effects as moonface she already has.

Now she developed heavy acne in her neck. To makes things worse, her legs, arms, shoulders and stomach are loosing their skin elasticity, since her collagen is altered. Common movements produce pain, and on top, her skin looks so thin and unflexible, that you think it will tear at any second.

You can see superficial damage on her tommy as if she had given birth to 3 babies at once. Not exaggerating. Her legs and shoulders got scares and bruises. Her depression grows and we are so scared.

Doctors are treating the Lupus, but dont see any importance on the described side effects, since thats the drugs effect. But I believe ANY woman needs to feel good about herself, and each time people stare wierdly at her, i feel like I' m being whipped.

If this conditions had some medication or treatment, she'd be able to go back to normal life, work and friends. SOS!

Prednisolone controls Lupus... but side effects destroying her skin elasticity causing deep depression. SOS!?
Lupus is difficult to treat. As long as I've been studying it, it seems to evade answers. The reason is that it is a disease like AIDS, it destroys the body. Sometimes it attacks the brain, sometimes the kidneys, eyesight etc. The ONLY thing that can slow down this awful disease is Prednisone. Prednisone will immediately shock the system into stopping this self-destruction, depending on the dose. The adreanal glands produce approximately 7 mg of steroids that the body needs in order to help the hormones stay in balance. When the human body begins to take Prednisone, the Adrenal glands shut down, forever. There has never been a study that supports the theory that the Adrenal glands can re-start-up, once they have been shut down or driven to sleep. Therefore, the Prednisone MUST keep coming. The difficult balance is to keep the disease at bay, while keeping the body healty enough to fight the common cold. When the human body is suffering with an infection, too high a dose of Prednisone can mask the infection, making the patient believe that they feel wonderful while the truth is that their body is being invaded with infection. Your friend sounds like she has been taking Prednisone for a long time. Her doctor should be notified and he should try to adjust the amount of Prednisone as soon as possible. If your friend is "flaring," the only thing that will immediately bring the flare into control, is massive doses of Prednisone, after which it is usually brought down by 25mg a day until she is back on a usual dose. Good Luck!
Reply:Hopefully the prednisone treatment will stop fairly soon - this is often a short-term way to kick the Lupus back down, and the side effects do wear off once all the prednisone is out of her system. At this point, she likely can't address the side effects, so why not consider a massage or other ways that can make her feel good during this interim period? Main thing to know is that the side effects aren't permanent, so do other things that make her feel good instead of focusing on the side effects she can't change.
Reply:I have lupus also.

Lupus is an overactive immune system. The direct opposite of AIDS. Lupus is autoimmune, AIDS is not. Lupus can attack any organ system.

Prednisone is not the only drug to control lupus. Prednisone is only one drug. There are several drugs that are routinely used to treat lupus. Many of the drugs used to treat RA are used in lupus.

Your friend needs to voice her concerns to her doctor. As for her depression, an anti-depressant might be useful. Anti-depressants can help with sleep and pain levels so they're frequently prescribed even when depression isn't noted.

Rheumatologists are very quick to prescribe steroids despite their horrible side effects. They're a "quick fix". I refuse to use steroids on a daily basis- the side effects do not outweigh the good. I do use dose packs as needed but that's not very often. I'm in pain management so I don't need steroids to help with the pain.

Depending on the symptoms, there are several medications available. But she needs to talk to her current doctor or even better, find a new one.

To successfully treat lupus, a multiple modalities need to be used- prescription medication, diet, exercise, massage, sleep help, hormone treatment if needed, etc. Treating this disease must come from multiple areas... popping 1 or 2 pills won't work. (I take 14 a day)

I would also recommend that your friend find a family physician to overlook her entire body and allow this doctor to coordinate her treatment. The rheumatologist only looks at the lupus.

In the end, it's up to the patient to decide if he/she will take the medication prescribed.
Reply:i suffer from Lupus too and had to be on prednisone for 9 years! i can relate to the problems she is going through. The best advise i can give is to moisurize skin up to 3 times a day. When she starts getting off the prednisone she will lose weight fast which will cause stretch marks.

Prednisone is not the only drug that controls lupus. Ask the doctor whether or not she can go on Plaqunil. I am on this drug and the only side effect from this is slight tanning of skin which isnt as bad as the weight gain and skin problems from prednisone.
Reply:Unfortunately, if the lupus is flaring badly, prednisone is the primary treatment. She can look bad or she can die. It's that simple. The doctors will lower the prednisone as the lupus comes under control.

There are other immunosuppressive drugs, each with its own dreadful side effects. There have been no new drugs for lupus in 40 years.

For many lupus patients there is no return to normal life. Lupus is not curable, but sometimes it can be controlled. Life will never be the same again.

Consider a counselor for depression. If you look for counselors who work with cancer patients and the terminally ill (although lupus is not usually fatal) they will be better equipped to help her through this. Antidepressant medication may be necessary for a while. Prednisone also alters mood, sometimes severely.

The "acne" may be lupus skin involvement which would be worse without the prednisone.

We lupus patients hope and pray for something that will help us without the horrific side effects. Go to www.lupus.org and click on the "take action" link to help us out.

Foundation/base reacts with the skin and turns deep-orange after application?

My older sister complained that her foundation turns a strange orange colour 10 minutes after she has applied it to her face. I was rather sceptical and asked her to test mine, as I don’t have that problem. To my amazement, in front of my very eyes, I saw the colour deepen to an awful orange colour. Not convinced, I dragged her to the nearest cosmetic mall and tested all the products available. The tests left various shades of orange/tan stripes on her arm. She has a very light skin and normally uses the lightest colour available (ivory/pearl) so it has nothing to do with the shade.

Does anybody else suffer with this reaction? If so, have you found a product that does not react to the skin in this way? Does any body know the cause?

Thank you

Foundation/base reacts with the skin and turns deep-orange after application?
I'm an esthetician and a makeup artist. The foundations have a chemical reaction with your sister's skin, like some perfumes smell differently on other people. She needs a makeup that is made with only natural ingredients. I Love this new company called Christi Mar. Their makeup doesn't react with the skin, because there is nothing in it to make it react. Its awesome because it very easy to use, it comes in a compact. You can use as much or as little as you need. It never feels or looks heavy. You can find it on, www.christimarcosmetics.com
Reply:I have had the same thing happen to me. It's more likely to happen with drugstore foundation than more expensive foundation. Powder foundation does'nt do this to me. Bare Escentual and Chanel powder foundation are the best. MAC make me break-out like crazy. I use the lightest shade in both. This might sound kinda goofy but I found some great products at Manic Panic. The white dreamtone foundation actually blended nicely into my skin and didnt make me look goth when used lightly. You can also use it to mix with foundations that are too dark in order to lighten them. The Vampire's Veil pressed powder in moonlight was an exact match for my super pale skin and the quality was good. I was impressed.

blush-golden rose

mascara-dark brown, black

eye liner-dark brown, black

Most of them will give you a complete make-over for free, and all of them will advise you on good colors for your complexion. The make-up is a little more expensive, but worth it! Have fun with it!

How does a cut/injury be
deep enough to leave a
scar on the skin and
why?

Injuries happen everyday, even the smallest ones. But injuries such as cuts from knifes etc on fingers, hands etc, they sometimes leave a scar on the skin's surface, "cause their deep". How does this happen?? Why does the injury leave a scar??

How does a cut/injury be

deep enough to leave a

scar on the skin and

why?
It's not about depth, more about width, cleanness, and alignment of the edges. If you use a scalpel or a saw, you get different scars. Also if the tissue amount lost is big, you have to get it stitched in order to get a nice scar afterwards. All wounds heal with scars, sometimes they're so minor and thin you hardly see them - called primary healing. If the wound had not been attended to, infected, too wide, etc. - large scar later: secondary healing.

Can ink from a tat bleed into surrounding skin if the artist goes too deep?

Got a new tat a month ago. 2 weeks ago the surrounding area took on a dark bluish/green tint (it isn’t a bruise). The tint goes our about 3 inches, in any direction, from the tattoo. (It isn’t a blowout.) It itches cuz the artist went real deep, over-worked the skin %26amp; as a result there’s heavy scarring. Could the ink from the tat be bleeding into the surrounding skin? The artist %26amp; owner of the shop say that isn’t possible. But artists from 2 other shops believe that is exactly what has happened. Has anyone heard of anything like this before?

Can ink from a tat bleed into surrounding skin if the artist goes too deep?
This actually sounds odd to me, especially the fact that the bluish/green is going out around the tattoo about 3". It does sound like it could be a severe (not used loosely) case of tattoo blow-out.... This is the definition of blowout as listed on BME:

"Tattoo Blow-out

From BME Encyclopedia

If a tattoo artist goes too deep when tattooing, the ink can spread by capillary action, causing a blurry halo around the main lines. Some body parts; such as the shaft of the penis; are especially vulnerable to tattoo blow-out. "

Considering the shop that you had it done at doesn't want to take any responsibility, but 2 other's say that it is exactly the problem, I would consult a Dr, to be on the safe side as it may be infection, or blood poisoning.
Reply:I have seven and none of mine did that and one is super deep you can see it with your eyes closed!! lol
Reply:Yes my tattoo on my wrist bled but he warned me that since the skin there is very sensitive that may happen. So yes it is possible.
Reply:i dont know about the how or why, but yes a bad tat can bleed and look bad. if you dont like the work, tell, em, show em, and at least get $$$ back if you dont wanna sue em.

it could possibly be blood poisioning too. if you see dark streaks coming out from that tat, get to emergency room NOW! i dont mean to be alarmist but in a forum like this best to cover all possibilities. blood poisoning can be extremely serious. you can lose a limb. dont take any chances if you see ANY signs of infection, like itching and streaks! IM DEAD SERIOUS!

if you think there is any chance of infection, MAN, you need to be seen by a doctor now! and time does matter! the sooner the better! i hope its just a bad tat, but best not take any chances....
Reply:Yes the tattoo color can bleed outside of the outline! You should ask another shop on how to care for it since the shop you had it done at will not take the responsablity!

Good Luck

Here is a link for great how to care guide, and yes A%26amp;D is one of the best products to use: http://www.wikihow.com/Care-for-a-New-Ta...
Reply:Yes, it could, but my greater concern would be infection. Not all places are sanitary, and this should be on your mind. If you have any doubt at all, see a doctor without delay, as some infections can be truly life-threatening.
Reply:yes a tattoo certainly can bleed...i had the same thing happen to me, my friends would think i'd bruise myself working...

in your case i'm not certain about ink bleeding into the surrounding skin, but it does remain deep in the area where the tatt is and i've had laser treatment done to remove this particular tattoo and it didn't remove it.
Reply:That`s the result of letting someone hurt you like this. You almost likely have a serious infection going on. There`s no way that the ink can bleed out to the surrounding tissue. Your tissues are infected, %26amp; you need medical attention immediately.

Deep Red Dots on Skin????

Yesterday me and my wife were showering together like normal when I noticed thease deep red dots on her skin? I counted about six dots all together most of which were on her back. she hasnt been outside recently much less the grass so that should cancel out red bugs... does anyone know what this could be??

Deep Red Dots on Skin????
It is next to impossible to tell you what these red dots on your wife's skin are, but here are a few hints.

Depending on what they look like, they could or could not be signs of cancer. Look up skin cancer pictures on the net and compare them to the ones she has. Perhaps she spent too much time under the sun at one time? Some effects that the sun produces don't show up until later.

An allergic reaction, did she eat anything that she shouldn't have? How about exposure to an unusual environment.

Do the dots itch, are they swollen, do they all look the same size, shape color? How long has she had them for? When did you first notice them?

Are there any other signs or symptos that she has which might be related to this?

Perhaps it's nothing serious, and maybe they were there since birth. Can her mom or caregiver confirm this?

Either way, you will need to visit a dermatologist to make sure it isn't something dangerous. Hopefully it isn't. Depending on your insurance, they might try telling you that dermatology is an aesthetic consultment and deter you from visiting one, in this case you will need a referral from your primapry doctor. Other than that, it's all I can think of at this time, I hope you are both ok.
Reply:that will be rushes
Reply:It could be a mild form of eczema. She should go to a skin doc.

Reply:It could be a number of things. My step father had one on his arm and it was cancer. Not to scare you...just worst case scenario.
Reply:Did you ask her about it? It might be pimples, or exma, or an alergy to something. Go to the doctor.
Reply:You need to test it with a glass, press it over the spots and if they don't fade it can be a meningitis rash, if that's the case you need to go to the hospital AnE quick time.

I have chickenpox 3 weeks ago and i have scars on my face. is deep skin peeling helps?

You have scars because you were scratching your chicken pox. No scratching while having chicken pox.

I have chickenpox 3 weeks ago and i have scars on my face. is deep skin peeling helps?
yeah, leave it alone. It will get better with time.
Reply:They have a point. However, what you might want to consider applying is some cocoa butter ointment, and keep the new tissue really really well moisturized. This can help prevent permanent scarring by enabling the new and not-quite-ready-to-be-exposed tissue safe from harm. Something you want to avoid while that is healing is a lot of exposure to sun on your face.

Also, go in to a pharmacy, and ask if there is anything over the counter that they stock that could help. I work in a pharmacy, and I know there is stuff, but I can't remember what exactly it's called.
Reply:Go ask a dermatologist about differin gel. It works.

I need help in choosing a hair-color that will work well with my fair skin, and deep copper brown eyes.?

Right now my hair is a natural medium brown with caramel highlights. Though my roots are growing out, and the highlights are starting to brass. So, i need a color that will warm me up and complement my skin tone. Anyone have any suggestions?!?

I need help in choosing a hair-color that will work well with my fair skin, and deep copper brown eyes.?
if you go to loreal website and you can enter your features and they will give you the best colors...good luck
Reply:Shave
Reply:platinum blonde would be the best choice..
Reply:Chocolate brown or dirty blonde!
Reply:Its hard to say what will suit you, because i havent seen you

but a plumy brown could look nice. i think browns best suit

brown eyed people and fair skin.
Reply:For the winter time, hi lites are out and lo lites are in. try using a level 5 golden brown with 20 volume develper on your roots, pulling it through for the last 10 minuts on your ends. more if your hair is not damaged and resilient. this will darken the hi lites into something more subdued, as apposed to the all out BANG of hi lites, while brightening the color you already have.

hope this helps

Reply:ask for a strawberry blonde, or a chestnut dark brown, the blonde makes your skin look amazing, and the dark chestnut makes your eyes pop, choose either and youll look fantastic
Reply:why not do something like a roasted chestnut color? it's just a thought, one of the fair skinned girls on ANTM (the one with autism) went with that look and it works well-it's worth a shot.

c.c.
Reply:Your color now is exactly what i was going to suggest. Copper is an excellent color, but keeping it subtle is more dramatic and beautiful than going all out. Try warming up your allover color with just a touch of copper then add highlights and low lights.
Reply:Hi Emma - I have to agree with Sim

brown hair is nicest for fair skin and brown eyes - that's just general. hard to say w/o seeing you. what's wrong with the color you have now - sounds pretty. why not just have it redone ?
Reply:try mahogany
Reply:You have to choose hair color that will suit with your completion and with your eyes??

I think, dark golden brown will suit you (like my hair now) hehe. It would be better if you will go to the supermarker and check on the catalogue. There are different types of color that you can choose. Guides are available and It is very easy to follow. If you want to save money....you can do this procedure.

But if you are willing to pay and wants good result .... visit the professional hairdresser, they can do it for you.
Reply:Your hairdresser is the best person to ask as they can see you and will know what will suit . maybe a medium golden blonde with copper streaks

What do you do when a tiny piece of a splinter stays stuck deep under your skin?

The other day, I got a splinter in my finger while working out in the yard. While I was able to pry most of it out, a tiny piece of it broke off and seeped deep underneath the skin. I've tried using a needle, but it hasn't worked. It is too small for tweesers. Any ideas??

What do you do when a tiny piece of a splinter stays stuck deep under your skin?
What you were unable to remove, will be naturally pushed out by your body. You will notice the development of fluid around the splinter. After the fluid builds up, you should be able to put some pressure on this fluid and cause it to expel the splinter.

The body is amazing.....it will naturally expel things that do not belong.
Reply:If it's just a small piece, your body will take care it by itself, that's what your immune system will do. It's smart to use a triple antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin on it after cleaning the area with warm soapy water, then covering it with a bandage. This will aid in healing and keep it from getting infected. If you want to try to remove the small piece yourself, the best trick is to soak your finger in some warm water for a little bit, if the splinter is wood, the water will make it swell and when it's swollen and spongy, it's easier to retrieve with the tweezer. Try to resist the urge to dig around with a needle, most folks don't sterilize them properly and you're basically just injecting yourself with bacteria when you do that. Good luck.
Reply:If you can not get it out yourself with any tools or fingers, you have to call a doctor. He/she will guide you from there.
Reply:if it really bothers you then take it out or if it doesent leave it in then it will go away but if it does go get some eyelash pluckers and then squeeze the skin around it so the it kinda pops up enough for you to pull it out with the pluckers
Reply:It may never come out. If it gets infected, you'll have to go to a Dr.

My uncle has had a tiny sliver of glass deep in his hand for about 30+ years now.
Reply:you can try putting elemers glue on it and letting it dry then peel it off, the splinter should stick to the harden glue.
Reply:a very old wives tale but it works. Put vaseline on your skin where the splinter is and cover it with a bandage. make sure you have plenty of vaseline on it. Leave it overnight and the vaseline draws the splinter out. good luck

Can I use Boots (UK) - Skin Clear deep cleansing scrub - every day?

I've just bought the product above - Boots own brand skin cleanser, (comes in a purple tube with a screw cap) and it doesn't have any directions as to how often to use it though.

Can I use it morning and night or is it likely to over-clean / damage my skin?

Any body who has used it have any thoughts?

Can I use Boots (UK) - Skin Clear deep cleansing scrub - every day?
I wouldnt use it morning and night as its likely to over stimulate your skin so maybe 2 or 3 times a week would be best. It really depends on (A) how sensitive your skin is and (b) what you are using the scrub to achieve. If your skin is quite sensitive, then using it once a week would be enough. If you are using the product because of a problem with your skin then it really would be best to only use it at most, 3 times a week incase of over stimulating your skin ( can sometimes lead to spots etc)
Reply:boots do Clearasil as well this is a good product ,i not only use it myself, but my wife makes the pads, pots them and squirts the smelly stuff in to them.give this one a try.
Reply:Using deep cleansing scrub too frequently (daily) will dry your skin. You skin need some level of oil to keep its texture. Making it too dry by using cleansing scrub daily will cause break-out and wrinkles.
Reply:depends if your a teenager and have oily skin, try biol warming wash i find it as good as the designer brands
Reply:You can use a scrub everyday as long as it isn't too abrasive.

You could use a cleansing wipe at night like Witch or Neutrogena which will give you the same results as the scrub but without stripping the skin.

Dry Skin and deep Acne?

When i was a teenager i had the random actual pimple, probably around my period the most i'm sure, and they were small and managable. Now i am 24 and have bad acne, not like a million zits everywhere, like 5 really big ones and 15 small ones, mostly in clusters. I've tried every brand of everything, three step products including: Proctive, Clinique and Acne sets ups from the stores such as Dove, Neutrogena... etc. I've tried spot treatments, cleansing pads, homemade remedies such as Rose witch hazel .. this list goes on.

Nothing. Instead they may work for a little while, but then my skin grows an immunity like to it and i'm back to big nasty zits.

I hear its from stress, because i'll leave on vacation from work and come back glowing, and within a week i'm back to 'normal'

it has been like this since i started working a stressful 8-5'er.

Now i have dark spots and it makes it look worse.

I need a miracle!

Any suggestions?

Dry Skin and deep Acne?
You don't need a miracle. YOu need a good Dermatoligist.
Reply:i used to have really bad acne like yours so i went to my doc and i got on the pill. it worked miracles for me and i didn't have to worry about my period anymore. Getting rid of two hassles at once. i still wash my face but i usually only get like 2 pimples at the most
Reply:I'm on the pill, oral antibiotics, and a face cream all perscribed by a doctor. (If you're on the pill for pregnancy reasons then the antibiotics can react with the pill and cause it not to work as well against pregnancy.)

I used to have very bad acne but I just had to figure out something that worked for me. I've tried many things, just like you. The antibiotics helped a little, then I was put on the face cream called Differin but that didn't work so I was put on Azelex which only prevents acne and doesn't treat it. Azelex worked VERY well, especially for my back (where my acne was the worst). I just recently started the pill and I've been on it for 1 and a half months. I haven't noticed it helping with any acne yet...and it seems to make it worse at the moment but I can't tell. I'm trying it for a full three months to see if it does anything for my acne.

Since I was put on Azelex, the most amount of pimples I get at a time are 3 (very rarely) and they are very big, deep in the skin, and red. I do go weeks at a time with completely clear skin when I don't break out, which is better than nothing. I'm still searching for spot treatments that work since my face cream doesn't heal acne when I do get it. If I find anything for spot treatments, I'll try and repost it if this question is still up.

Daily Routine:

I use Apricot Scrub for blemishes and blackheads and I wash my face every morning and every night. After washing I take a CLEAN washcloth (a brand new one everytime you wash) and PAT DRY! Then I apply Azelex face cream. About an hour later after I feel like the cream has absorbed, I apply Olay Complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin. I also change my pillow case every night so the oils from the night before don't clog my pores. (yes it's a lot of laundry but it really seems to help me)

I just recommend seeing your doctor or a dermatologist. Good luck.
Reply:try this thing

I have a deep under the skin pimple, and its not going away!?

I have a deep under the skin pimple, and its not going away! Ive had it for over a week, on my chin. Its not that red and swollen, but when i smile it really shows.. its larger in diameter than regular pimples and its white. I usually dont have bad skin, but im guessing its from stress and kissing my boyfriend too much :) But what do you think it is? how can i get rid of it? i have a picture :

(dont worry its not all that gross)

I have a deep under the skin pimple, and its not going away!?
Those deep bumps take a while to surface...a week isn't that long.

If you shave (I didn't look at the pic), it could be a boil. It will surface on it's own.
Reply:I hate to say it, but you need to let it breathe a little. When it is nice and... like, ripe i guess, you need to put a moist and almost hot towell on it. Then, using a paper towel over your fingers, pop it by bringing in both index fingers in on it from opposite sides. then hold the paper towell over it and let the puss ooze out.

Gross, but it works.

Then make sure not to touch your face ever. And was it 2x a day. Also this works...

Reply:OK, this is an old remedy of my grandmothers. Get a raw egg. Crack open the shell, put the yolk somewhere to save for an omelet, you don't need it. What you need is the whitish lining under the shell, slowly peel a piece of this away from the shell. The wetter, and slimier the better. Put this slimy side onto your pimple, at bed time, when noone's going to see you. As it dries over night, it will pull the poison out of the pimple, it will either pop on it's own and start the drying process, or it will come to a head, and you'll be able to pop it, and do the treatment again, to close the pore! I have done this for years, and it works! Good luck, email and tell me the results!
Reply:it very well might be an ingrown hair, or a cyst. if it is that big then you should see a dr.....there are many treatment options. it may have to be lanced and packed with an antibacterial gauze and allowed to heal from the inside out.
Reply:i feel your pain. I get those occasionally. You really need to let it get, to a point, well ripe like the other person on this page said. Then give it a pop. Also this will be gone soon. But don't try and pop it yet, give it some time.
Reply:Acne and pimples is one of the most distressing and depressing problems faced mostly by youngsters. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Deep part in skin over heart?

Ok, so im a guy and have a 4cm diameter, and maybe 1 cm deep kind of hole (gap or deeper spot then the rest of my chest) on my skin over my chest/breast and under my shoulder bone on the left side of my body. I think it is near my heart (if my heart is on the left side which i think it is). I am quite skinny and weigh about 39 kilos with a hieght of 5,2' (teen). My right side is pretty normal (or i think it is) and i can feel my ribs more on my right then my left. I am not sure about this so i just wanted an opinion without having to go the the doctor.

Deep part in skin over heart?
I would recommend seeing a doctor ASAP. Another problem might be with your weight, 39 kilos or about 86 lbs for a teen that's 5'2" is very low.

How do I treat deep skin/cyst acne?

Lately I've been suffering from large pustule acne below my skin, the kind of acne that you can't pop and doesn't really show up on the surface but still hurts alot. It feels like a bump under the skin when I touch it and they show up on my face, mostly around the forehead area. Does anyone know a way to successfully treat this kind of acne?

How do I treat deep skin/cyst acne?
Well whatever you do, just don't attempt to pop them or force them out. You will severely damage your skin. When I occasionally get one of these nasty bitches I run a clean washcloth under really, really hot water and press it on the cyst. This helps it open up and begins the healing process. You can also steam your face; pour boiling water into a bowl add some mint from the garden (or a herbal mint tea bag), and lean over the bowl for ten Mins with a towel over your head and the bowl. This helps open up the pore. You can also try on the spot acne treatments...But usually you just have to wait it out with these suckers...Good luck!
Reply:put toothpaste on them at night

i know it sounds crazy but it *usually* works for me
Reply:Go to your skin doctor.
Reply:Exfoliation is really important. What happens with the cyctic type pimples is the oil is trapped in the pore by dead skin cells. Exfoliation once or twice a week should help with the appearance of those type. Using a face wash with Salysic acid in it will help with the bacteria. I use Biore Ice Cleanser and I hardly breakout anymore. It is about $6 and last me about 6 month or more. A little squirt goes along way! Good luck!

Can i ever learn to accept that i am ugly? people say that beauty is only skin deep, yet they act otherwise.?

I can honestly say that me being ugly has ruined my life. I know that there are many successful people out there that are less than georgeous. But what has held me back in life is my self aware of my ugliness. i feel like a hermit, hiding from the world. scared of being rejected by society. i have held myself back from many opportunities because of this. I avoid friends and social events. I feel cursed with a hideous face. Unworthy of ever being loved. it's not in my head, people have told me i am ugly. And when I don't wear makeup, people treat me different than when I do, even though I try even harder to be likeable and nice to make up for the fact. I feel like I'm stuck in a hole of self hate. If god wanted to create me ugly, then why did he have to make me so obsessed with beauty? I truly wonder what my life would be if i was pretty. I need help badly. I either need plastic surgery or psychiatric help. all i know is that I cant go on like this.

Can i ever learn to accept that i am ugly? people say that beauty is only skin deep, yet they act otherwise.?
First of all, let me start by saying everyone has the ability to be beautiful, whether intrinsic or extrinsic. You are no different. I think you are very aware that what you say to yourself is what you are becoming. You think you are ugly so that is what the world will see. Yes, there are people who do not fit into the universal category of beauty that people like Halle Berry or Penelope Cruz are placed into, but they have their own issues as well honey. How many times have they been divorced or called unstable? Beauty is a gift and curse.

I wish I could say the world was fair and if you believe you are pretty you will be. That's not how it is and that's not God's plan for you. Don't blame God for you obsession though. That is a human imperfection. Take responsibility for that. What I do think happened, by God giving you a different exterior, is that he wanted you to explore other things and contribute to the world in a much more meaningful way. You won't attract attention because of your looks, but when you do find love or meaningful friendships, you know they will be because of your heart and people will see you for what you truly are.

There are several things I'd like to suggest:

1. Stop watching TV (certain programs) or reading about celebs. I did this and it has changed my life. Change your reference points.

2. Talk to someone. Find a therapist or counselor you can trust. Stick with them for a couple of years and really commit to self-love.

3. Invest in community service projects or a hobby a couple of times a week. Doing things that make you feel good about yourself as a person will start to change your perspective. Obsession is only fueled by idolness. Occupy your thoughts with other things.

4. Work out. Working out not only changes your body but mentally you're in a better place. It helps to relieve the anxiety or stress in your life. After a couple of weeks, you'll start to feel more positive about life.

5. Pray/Meditate. By praying you'll feel more connected to something larger than yourself. Stop being a victim and try to explore your purpose on this earth. Ask for the strength to endure another day and search for what you were put here for. Day by day, like an onion, you'll peel layers of the negativity away and get to the core of your greatness!

Good luck. You are in my prayers.
Reply:Who cares if you're ugly.It doesn't matter as long as you have face.Don't blame GOD bec we are lucky in this world to have lives.. Report It

There is no denying beauty in any culture. It changes its importance and definition as we mature. Good luck.

I've met my twin... as the "Ugly, Fat girl who will amount to nothing in her life" I know where your coming from BIG time...I saw a psychiatrist about my problems...It really did help...it helped me to understand that beauty really is only skin deep...and even though society doesn't seem to think so it's the truth. Plastic surgery is such a far cry for help...seek professional help...you can work out your feelings and find out what truly makes you beautiful...everyone has beauty...some people just hide it more than others. Quit hiding it...find out where your true beauty lies and use it to your advantage!
Reply:oh dear. i am very sorry to hear hpw low your self esteme is. i think this is the problem, not the fact you're not attractive.

i have a friend who i thought wasn't nice looking when i first saw him. we became friends and now, 16 years later i realise he's not ugly, he's a charming, charasmatic comedian!

it's his personality that makes him very attractive. (we even dated for a while but he turned out top be gay!)

my first boyfirned wasn't "good looking" but he was very our going and confident. i found that very attractive and we dated for 5 years. he had no shortage of female admirers either!! (he looked like Mr Bean!)

you should be more worried if you are a horrible person. that can not be hidden with make up!

you need to gain some self esteme. looks are NOT everything!!

how old are you? do you have any interests, such as art, sports, cooking...something you are goods at? there must be something...find it, go to a night class or something, mix with likeminded people. you'll gain alot of confidence, see that everyone looks different, everyone has insecurities about their looks....
Reply:I think it is more mental than phisical. You should try to improve youself by getting help. You shouldn't hate yourself, on the other hand improve yourself. Try to make yourself better by changing your appearance. Start by eating healthier working out, and see how that will make you feel better, also go with a make up artis like at M.A.C they do makeovers. Change your hair style, but before you do this get a second opinion on what will look best on you, maybe a change in hair color or different hair due. I think you just might need a little help on what fits you best. You also have to learn to love yourself, don't be so hard on youself. Because if even you did get facial surgery you will feel that it's still not good enough because you have so much hate within. Try to release that seek professional help if you have to. Trust me you will feel so much better at the end. =) Cheers.
Reply:u are definately not the only one. i have a friend that insists she is ugly and some people even call her that. the truth is, the people that actually call you ugly are extremely rude and insecure about themselves. they just want to make themselves feel better. also, why are you hanging around with such horrible people? you need to make friends with people that dont care what you look like, because obviously these "friends" treat you like crap. also, if it makes you feel better, go to a store like sephora that specializes in makeup and do one of those makeovers. you'll be able to ask them what you could do about all the parts of your face you dont like. if you think you have a chubby face, they'll show you how to slim it with blush, if you have a large nose, they'll show you how to take the emphasis off that and on your eyes with sparkly shadow.

you need to crawl out of that hole and do something about it. if it means changing all your friends, then maybe thats what you need right now. the people that say that beauty is skin deep are the kind of people you should be friends with. because the people your are with now probably have never said that.
Reply:Darls, I'm sure you're not as ugly as you may it sound. You may not be a conventional beauty, but nobody in this world can be as ugly as you described. You just have to be more OPTIMISTIC. I know, that's easier said than done, but if you want to feel good, you have to tell yourself that you are going to change your attitude towards yourself. I know plenty of people whose lives suck even though they are good-looking. At the same time, I know some people who may not be conventional beauties but unique in their own facial features who are leading more fulfilling lives and having very loving relationships.

If you're feeling depressed, deal with that first.

If you don't want to wear makeup, it's fine. If some people don't like the way you look, it's still fine. You don't like them either, right? So, who cares?

If makeup gives you some self esteem the way it gives millions and millions of women all over the globe, then go ahead and wear it. But, natural is always best!
Reply:Hmm yes, people say one thing and they act the opsite! but people are subjective, and most of them dumb as hell. you wouldn't imagine what i've been told, which never came out true anyway. so stop taking care of what other people say. they are not supreme authority, they are just humans, full of flaws and preconceived ideas. the only authority is you and your head and the way you want to see yourself and your life. and i don't think you are ugly. you know the ugly swan? and yes, people react differently to you depending on how you look (i want to get into show biz, so tell me that! ). So? Who gives a **** ? Plus i know a lot of beauty tips so if you want to talk my email is gagicabulanoasa@yahoo.com. Bye girl! :*:*:*:*:(
Reply:Chances are, you're probably not as ugly as you think. What makes people ugly is their attitude. If you're less than attractive in your eyes, you should make up for it by having self confidence; not arrogance. If it makes you feel better, try talking to a plastic surgeon to see what he/she can do. It sounds like you won't like yourself even with plastic surgery. You have to love yourself first before anyone else loves you........good luck!
Reply:Great. You've heard that beauty is only skin deep yet you look in the mirror and self-proclaim you're uglier than sin. You know this because of you're "self awareness of my ugliness". Many people have the same problem and overcame it. Look at some of the hollywood stars who are ugly but with the magic of makeup, Voila!, pretty. Get yourself out of that Quasimodo mood and do something about it. Your ego will appreciate it.
Reply:God created you the way he thought you should be made. It is inconsiderate to not enjoy your unique and special self. It makes you individual; it makes you YOURSELF.

I'm sorry to hear that your self esteem is very low, and that you are torturing yourself by thinking you are ugly. I am sure you are not. Many people call me beautiful, but I always think I am not. Why is this? Many people doubt themselves. Some of them are compliment fishers. And some have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Now, if people are going to judge you by your looks in the first place, I think that they have a lot more to worry about than what you look like. It's hateful and rude. Those people that called you ugly have ugly personalities. Whether or not their faces look like the face of a model doesn't matter. Eventually, people will get to know them. Their so-called beauty will be ignored and their rude personalities will show. Ignore these people - hard as it may seem, you must try.

Sit down with a piece of paper and a pen. Write down ALL of your good traits, and do not write down any of the traits you do not like. For example if you are a good artist, or writer, jot that down. If you have good problem solving skills, write that down. If you are better at math than anyone you know, write it down! Once you get thinking about your better traits, you will forget about the ones you do not like as much.

Stop thinking 'I'm ugly'. People with negative attitudes like that will eventually become that way - you are what you think you are, and if people know that you think you're ugly, they will not feel comfortable or happy around you. If you continue to say 'I'm ugly', people will not want to be around you. People prefer positive, upbeat people, not negative people who enjoy putting themselves down.

If you can only look at yourself and feel ugly, and not concentrate on anything else, you must need a little more help than a forum can give you. Try talking to a family member, friend, teacher or counselor. You need to zap out of this phase, and fast.

Good luck! *hugs*
Reply:u no i think if it boosts your confidence then yes u should look into plastics
Reply:I know it sounds pretty chessy and ordinary to say, but everyone goes through that phase when you dont feel great about yourself. For some people, it is not even a phase. For some people, they probably went through their whole life not feeling great about themselves. Even I am having an extrememly hard time looking at myself in a mirror. Honestly, we cant just sit around and mourn and feel sorry for ourselves. I mean, you have to take action in order to make yourself feel better. There is only one person that truly knows you and its you. If you cant make yourself happy and love yourself for who you are, then nothing else is going to work. Not even plastic surgery. Because when the time comes around, and you have plastic surgery..yeah you will feel great about the way you look. But your brain and your heart is what really counts. You have to work on the inside then out. There is a whole world out there...hold tight.
Reply:it matters not what other people think only how you think. i have met some people that have been so ugly on the inside that it didn't matter how goodlooking society would have said they are on the outside. outside beauty does not make who you are, your character or your worth. you alone decide that by how you feel. all my life i have been insecure and i now see how negatively it affected my life. if i could go back and do over knowing what i know now i would be alot more confident and happy and secure about who i am. i still am by no means perfect but i could have positively worked on areas of change and at the same time been proud of who i was despite the flaws. people in your life come and go only yourself is who you are with forever. so love yourself. we are all god's children.
Reply:being ugly is choice. If you try hard enough, you can at least be average. Buy the best clothes, wear the best the makeup, and take care of your skin. Loose weight, take care of you're hair, wear nice jewelry. You may not be beautiful, but if you try hard enough you'll be at least average looking. If you're still uncomfortable all this, then just get plastic surgery. With everything out there (including surgery) being ugly is a choice people have made.

which other magazines are they located near?

Where abouts in the magazine section of whsmith (in the uk) are the tattoo magazines, like 'skin deep'?
Hi Sky, your best off subscribing online as Smith's don't always have it in stock:

http://www.skindeep.co.uk/

EDIT:As I have said WH Smith's don't always have it in stock (contrary to answer #3 reading my reply wrong)

Sometimes they put them up on the top shelf to stop kids looking at them as they may contain partial nudity.
Reply:Its not a maintstream magazine so even WHsmith will not stock it. As the previous poster has mentioned, you can subscribe online, or if you just want to purchase one copy to see how you like it before committing to a subscription, just drop into your local WHsmith outlet and ask them to order one in for you. I did this and they phoned me about a week later to let me know I could collect it.
Reply:Contrary to the other 2 posts, Smiths DOES stock Skin Deep, as well as Skin Shots, Total Tattoo and some American tattoo mags. You need to look hard though, and the location is probably different in every branch of smiths. I usually find them near the car mag section but your best bet is to scour the shelves, or ask a member of staff. But they DO stock it!
Reply:wh smiths do stock them, just ask the staff where they are.if they dont stock the one your looking for just ask them to order it:)

Guys, what aspects of women do you look for that is skin deep?

I'm not talking about the physical attributes. Once your wowed or not and just start talking to a woman what do you look for? Or do you look beyond the physical?

Guys, what aspects of women do you look for that is skin deep?
well the eyes %26amp; the smile could keep me enchanted for a long, long time.....beyond that it's just a feel for what's in their soul... what makes up their character....it's hard to describe.... a good woman will make me want to be a better man.
Reply:I usually look for if she will just talk straight to you, not like they are just about to faint. I like that about girls.
Reply:A sense of humor.
Reply:my wife and I play World of Warcraft together...which is almost as good as sex...I dont "look for" anything...we just share our lives together and thats all there is.
Reply:Physical is very important. One must be attracted to one's partner or whoever one may hope to couple with. However, that aside, I begin to look for strong morals and values. I also seek for past information of any health issues as well as where they stand in life. I also look for what they are intirested in. I play the feild of compatabillity.
Reply:I personally just look for sense of humor and personality. Yeah looks are sort of important but to me personality and sense of humor matters more.
Reply:I will look at the physical first then I will look at her mind and soul. Good look does not mean anything if a person is not loving and caring. Remember life long friendship is a heart and soul searing process. The friendship is a key for life and selecting a mate will follow if I find a person is good more than look. In reality today people can see far away if you are real or fake.So any person who are not beauty does not mean she can not find anyone for life. Trust me.

What do you think of the famous quote "Beauty is Only Skin Deep?

Since beauty is most commonly used to signify a visual aesthetic judgment, or a superficial quality as others have mentioned, the quote is simply pointing out the obvious, that beauty is indeed only skin deep. What it is supposed to then make you consider is whether the value we as a society (and many of us as individuals) place on beauty is truly the way to determine who and what a person is. If beauty is only skin deep and does not always reflect the person's values, compassion, thoughts, and all of the other qualities we tend to value in true friends and lovers, then beauty is a very poor way to determine a person's value.

Unfortunately, the knife often cuts both ways when it comes to beauty. Many times we are so aware that beauty is not a definitive indication of the type of person one is, we tend to be overly critical of someone who is considered beautiful. The saying is not meant to imply that if one is beautiful then one is automatically shallow and superficial, yet we often hold attractive people to different standards because we assume they must be lacking on the inside if they are beautiful on the outside.

So the quote simply means not to judge by the outside alone, beauty is not an indication either way of what is on the inside.

What do you think of the famous quote "Beauty is Only Skin Deep?
Absolute truth.
Reply:i think it means that beauty is not how you look on the inside its how you fell, act, and come out to other as a person.
Reply:It's what it says. Beauty is deeper then what you see with your eyes.
Reply:That's the cold, hard, magnificent truth. So many "beautiful" people have horrible personalities or do bad things...
Reply:It doesn't really make sense, now does it?

You call it beauty and you call it superficial, so isn't it then NOT real beauty?

If the point is that real beauty comes from within, then the quotation is doubly ambiguous.

On the other hand, who wants a beautiful liver?
Reply:It's a maxim similar to, "You can't tell a book by its cover."

Outside does not determine, reveal, inner value.
Reply:If you are talking of the beauty of the skin, then that is only skin deep. That is as far as it can go.

However, beauty can be present in lots of different ways in people.

It can reside in the fluidity of the body movement of the athlete or dancer, in the poetic imagination of the writer, in the mind of the thinker with his ability to create, in the soul where love resides, and on and on.

No. thankfully beauty is much more than skin deep. Ask any mother of a deformed child.

Perhaps that is why we have the fairy tales like "The Frog Prince" and "Beauty and the Beast".
Reply:The meaning is actually the opposite from what it says. We know that real beauty is more than just looks on the outside. Therefore real beauty is deep inside you. Who you are, what you think, feel and do all contribute to your beauty.

So I think 'Beauty is only Skin Deep' is just a sarcasm for people who think looks matter so much.

Yeah I really need to know because there's a guy I like and he likes me back and I want my eyes to look pretty for him :D

What eyeshadow colors should i wear if i have medium/fair skin, deep red and black hair, and medium brown eyes
whatever colors you want. No rules.
Reply:dark greyish brown ish.
Reply:Purples and browns look good with your coloring.
Reply:i'd use a pale blue color

or any light colors.
Reply:nothing i like girls that dont look like clowns
Reply:Greens and Peaches
Reply:It depends what clothes your wearing. I usually choose a color that matches my pants, shorts, or skirt. Maybe try a red to go with your hair. :)
Reply:Wear colors that are lighter than the shade of your eyes because it will highlight your eyes..

Try a mixture of them...

i don't know how old you are but there is a good site to see what colors are right for you..

go to www.beinggirl.ca

and go to games, then SHADOW SALON

you can see what any color will look like on your shade and your eyes.

good luck : )
Reply:purple and brown there is a makeup at the store made for eye color and it looks great with brown eyes
Reply:Depending on your eye shape, eye liner is a good idea. You should get a brown/black or just straight black liner and mascara. (My new favorite mascara is the new LashBlast by Covergirl, it's seriously perfect!!) Get some grey with a slight shimmer for a night out, go for the smoky effect.
Reply:i think it should be black or red....maybe a tanish color
Reply:dark grey or brown what ever u want
Reply:make ureself look GANGURO!!!!lol he'll love ya!

just copy and paste link if it doesnt automatically take u there, itll work that way too.

enjoy!
Reply:How sweet....but you should try more natrual colors and put a real thin line of eye liner on your top lid and put some on your bottom lid close to your eye wear mascara that brings out your eyes and curl your lashes. make sure to wear a little blush with some lip gloss on your lips otherwise your face will look pale!!! Good luck!!
Reply:I would say a dark green around the corners with a purple getting lighter when it gets closer to the part by your nose, with a light light purple at the top by the eyebrow, complemented by black mascara and little bit of black eyeliner
Reply:i think you should go with a dark brown or a dark purple ssh brown.
Reply:i think a light color and then dark on da sides

buh it dependz on wat u wana do
Reply:blue eye shadow brings out the color of brown eyes
Reply:hmm use a light brown or tan for base

then use a brown for just your lids

and then use a brown eyeliner on the top or dark brown eyeshadow

This creates the smokey eye look.

Also white or almost transparent eyeshadow can make your nose look smaller if applied right at the part of your nose where your eyes like almost touch.
Reply:dark grey/smoke try the pencil eyeliner from http://www.barely-there-mineral-makeup.c...

You won't wear anything else after.

Do Girls Like overweight Guys when people say beauty lies skin deep or isit ugly goes to the bone?

The reason we decide someone of the opposite sex is sexy or not is because it all boils down to procreating. When we like someone who is intelligent, its because, subconsciously, we believe that he will pass the intelligence down to our offspring. This is the same reason men, most men, like women with large breasts. Because this means more nourishment for the baby. So each women decides what they want their child to have.

Most people do believe that the man outside reflects the man in. It is what media has taught us. Ugly is as ugly does.

But some, those lovely some, do go with what's inside. Intelligence, humour, etc. Whatever you do, don't get depressed and blameyour lack of a sex life on your weight. Women prefer a man who is self-confident, without being cocky, that is.

Just accept who you are and there is a woman who looks for your type, and she may be yours.

Hope that helps,

Do Girls Like overweight Guys when people say beauty lies skin deep or isit ugly goes to the bone?
I have never heard people say such sophisticated phrases.

wow reading this makes me sound intelligent.
Reply:some girls like skinny guys some like overweight guys...i like thick men...everyone has peference....
Reply:If I like a guy then I like him, don't matter if he's overweight
Reply:Well don't think that would be up to that person. Thats an indivdual choice.
Reply:it depends how overweight..

i love a cuddly man...

some do some don't..

It's the same for women tho..

the majority of men like thin girls...

Leaving us bigger girls to one side..
Reply:it doesnt matter. at least not nemore it doesnt..... most ppl dont care wats on teh inside nemore..... all they care about is wats on teh outside
Reply:my preference is towards skinny guys but you know John Goodman and James Gandolfini (especially James Gandolfini) can get me anytime..... One of my ex boyfriends was someone who I would not be normally attracted to he was on the big side and blond hair blue eyes but his personality was so special he became the sexiiest man alive.
Reply:Most girls don't like overweight guys just like guys aren't generally attracted to overweight girls........but once you know someone, it's different :-)
Reply:Depends on the guy.

A thinner dude can be dumb as rocks or a total *** or both. (so could a heavy guy)Which is not so hot. (to me anyhow) and a thin guy (or girl)can be ugly too.

Some "ugly" people are truely beautiful, so are some "pretty" people. and vise versa. Fat people can be "ugly" or "pretty" so can thin people.
Reply:Beauty is only skin deep. But you can't expect someone to respect you, if you don't have enough respect for yourself to take care of yourself. You must love yourself b4 you can expect anyone else to.
Reply:I perfer a man that isn't so small and skinny... but of course.. I'm not so small and skinny myself. Do the overweight men like the bigger girls too?
Reply:no i dont, i like them yeah but i wouldn't fancy anyman who was overweight. I like my men like Jon Bonjovi. slim and very well toned...I couldn't kiss a big fat overweight bloke, no way..
Reply:as long as you have a wicked sense of humour and a good heart thats all that should count, but in my case hes gotta have some greying hair aswell what a turn on.
Reply:why do you want to know?, did you fall out of the ugly tree?

Hey how do you know when your girlfriend's too fat?

you can't hear your stereo when she's sitting on your face
Reply:I like guys who are healthy weights...neither skinny or overweight. I usually don't care how much guys weigh. um, I like somebody because they have cool personalities or they make me laugh and I like being around them. not because of their weight

I know that some people I know immediately judge a guy if he's overweight. They either think that the guy doesn't care about himself, or he's having personally issues that would make him overeat.

I'm not saying it's fair, and I'm not agreeing, but I know people like that.

kinda sad really.
Reply:there's overweight men, there's incredible huge fat men. some women like this as it makes them feel secure. its like a bear hugging them, literally. i see a lot of petite girls with enormous blokes. i think yikes. - he's gonna break her!!
Reply:I like men with a bit of slack but it has to be combined with the confidence that they don't need to work out and are happy with who they are. It's all about the confidence!!!!.
Reply:Its amazing what people go for, the diverseness i mean. Im eight stone wet through and i had a lovely boyfreind of eighteen stone on a slim day!!! We sometimes giggled that people thought we looked funny together, but it didnt matter. We since split but hes with a gorgeous girl now... she looks like a model! Not all girls are shallow, and just to put your mind at ease, its not all the good looking girls who are. Ive been told im stunning by loads of people (just being honest) and as long as i like the personality, he makes me laugh, and has nice eyes and a cheeky smile hes in there!!! Are we talking about you?? If we are and you have doubts, kick the ones that have a problem with it to the curb they dont deserve you.
Reply:If he's got a fab personality then it doesn't matter if he's overweight.

What are we really saying when we say beauty is skin deep?

And at the same token looks don't matter if you really love a person. I have yet to find many people who say these things who would really consider going out with an "ugly" person or someone thought to be less attractive.

What are we really saying when we say beauty is skin deep?
They're just saying the person is nice but they are ugly. They'd be friends but wouldn't date them.
Reply:Beauty is only skin deep means that a person may be attractive in looks but underneath it all their personality and behavior is that of a horrible, mean and nasty person. I have gone out with less than attractive people based on their personality.
Reply:it is more important to be good inside than looking good on the outside. beauty only lasts so long and then it fades... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, does not make a difference if it is true love.
Reply:It's just another way of saying "don't judge someone by outward appearances" or "don't judge a book by its cover" ...

In other words, it's what's inside that matters. Once you get to know someone and love that person, looks aren't all that important.
Reply:It means that beauty is shallow, because skin forms a very thin layer on the body. I know people who go out with or marry uglies, so it is true. People have to have more going for them than a pretty face.
Reply:Then the answer is answered. You just said it. Many people wouldn't. Because beauty is very important to most. When people get stuck with a bunch of hurt from a pretty woman, well they might say this hackneyeyed expression to a friend. But the first pretty gal who actually gives the jilted man the eye, and hey, ugly ladies you can pack up and go home. No one really believes that beauty is skin deep, it's been proven all kinds of favors and all kinds of "sympathy" and all kinds of good thoughts are bestowed on the pretty. Most people don't trust plain or ugly people and overlook them or ridicule them even openly.

Beauty gets more reaction and more interaction, period. Beauty get the benefit of the doubt. Beauty is perceived to be more "intelligent" and successful so beauty is then uplifted inside her or himself to try with support whereas the ugly try against all odds. Men seem to use it (or jealous women) when confronted with the awful truth: I am stuck with a plain wife OR I have been hurt by a pretty one. It's like a rationale. Not valid, really. You can be both beautiful inside and out. Often that is the case.

Sorry plain ladies and gents.

A lot of beautiful people are talented and GOOD, do good and make others feel good, that IS beauty, giving and being able to feel good about yourself. Life is cruel, the ugly ones are left out and left to be with other uglies. And I didn't make the rules. Sometimes plain marries pretty and both are happy. That is wonderful. But not often. Not often enough.
Reply:well i think its to make ugly people feel better
Reply:Beauty is only skin deep means that other things are more or equally as important, it's what comes from your heart and your mental attitude towards people, your kindness, your thoughtfulness. All this comprises beauty not just looks alone.
