Why do people say that beauty is skin deep?? n what do they mean by that?

They mean that to have true beauty you need more than a pretty face. You have to be a genuine sincere and thoughtful personality. You can be the most beautiful/handsome person in the world but if you have a two-faced, scheming, gossip and shallow personality you really are an ugly on the inside person.





A true story: One of my former girlfriends(a one time familar face on the beauty pagent circut) two year old daughter fell because her sandal strap broke while she was running. The child came to her mother for comfort and she refused to hold her bleeding knees daughter because it would have ruined her dress with all of that dirt and blood and she also said to her hoped no one saw her fall cause that would be embrassing.

Why do people say that beauty is skin deep?? n what do they mean by that?
its only on the surface, and that its not everything, looks do fade.
Reply:basically beauty is superficial to really be beautiful they need to take in account the whole persons actions
Reply:That means - looks fade over time.. so if someone just likes you for your looks, their feelings will eventually fade too.. It's what inside that matters.. Just like, you can take a beautiful girl, or a really good looking guy- but if they are rude, or have a bad personality, that makes them ugly... And you could take a not so attractive person on the outside, and they are so sweet, have a great personality and that person becomes attractive to you.. See what I mean? there is so much more to a person than just there outside beauty - what's inside is what matters, because that's what makes the person WHO they are
Reply:The only reason they say that is because there saying that beauty isn't only on the outside it doesn't matter what's on the outside it's what's on the inside that counts.
Reply:It is only your physical appearance that is classed as beauty - true beauty comes from within your soul. Nice people are beautiful. It doesn't matter what you look like if you are horrible nobody will want to spend time with you.
