Yes or No should Suffice.

Do You Agree: Religion is Often Skin Deep, it does not prevent Racial Hatred, Crime and Immorality?
I agree. You find a good number of people that use religion as a reason to be prejudice, or doing any acts that could be considered immoral or breaking the law.

One just has to take a look at the most religious areas of the world to see that's true.
Reply:Yes--this may be enough. But, I would like to add this. My parents were considered the most pious and ''goodest'' people in town. Behind closed doors, they were horrible bigots.

i live in kansas and see hatred in someones eyes all the time
Reply:well if your saying religion only causes war. then i agree. the crusades, middle-east yada yada yada. it wall is religion, Iraq


with the Sunnis and the shites.
Reply:Religion cant prevent, its just human nature.





for exmaple arab muslims in sudan are killing black muslims in darfur.


in christianity even when the black converted to christianity they were still inslaved.





and in judaism, well acctualy we arent that racist to other jews.

The great Baptist preachers of the American south preached segregation and separate but equal doctrines, Klu Klux Klan, all good Democrats every one of them





Yet the Black people of the South used the Baptist religion to find comfort and salvation and every one of them is a good Democrat.





Go figure :: yes and no

Philosophy brings in logical concepts like consciousness, self, immortality. But religion uses philosophy to promote the dogmas born out of ego/power. But, we shouldnt mix them.
